Iranian Demands for Agreement: Report

According to Israel's Channel 12, Iran has set a series of strict conditions for ending hostilities in the Middle East, within the framework of indirect negotiations initiated after Donald Trump's presidency. These demands include clear guarantees to prevent a recurrence of conflicts, Iranian control of the Strait of Hormuz, the closure of US military bases in the region, and financial compensation for damages incurred during the war. However, Channel 12 reports that Tehran may be showing some flexibility in negotiations, presenting its initial positions as perceived by the United States. According to these, Iran could consider suspending its ballistic missile program for five years, reducing uranium enrichment, and holding discussions regarding its stockpiles of enriched uranium. Furthermore, Iran could agree to allow access to the International Atomic Energy Agency to its remaining centrifuges and to stop funding regional groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and Iraqi militias. These potential concessions indicate an effort by Iran to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis. The situation remains fluid, and the outcome of the negotiations is uncertain. Their success will depend on the ability of both sides to find common ground and compromise on certain points, taking into account their core concerns and interests.
