Iran Threatens to Destroy US Oil Facilities in Middle East After Strike on Kharg Island

Iran has threatened to destroy US oil facilities in the Middle East in response to the American bombing of Kharg Island. According to Iranian media, there was no damage to the island's oil infrastructure from the attack. The Iranian army announced that it will immediately destroy all oil, economic and energy facilities connected to the US in the region. This announcement came in response to statements by Donald Trump, who had threatened to destroy Iran's oil infrastructure if it continued to obstruct navigation in the Strait of Hormuz. According to the state news agency Fars, more than 15 explosions were reported during the US attack on Kharg, without causing damage to the oil infrastructure. Kharg Island is a strategic oil hub for Iran, through which 90% of Iranian oil exports pass. At the same time, the president of the Iranian parliament warned that Iran will abandon all restraint if the US and Israel attack Iranian islands in the Gulf.
