Iran Ready for Compromises in Nuclear Deal with US - If Sanctions Relief Discussed

Iran has stated it is ready to consider compromises to reach an agreement on its nuclear program with the United States, provided that Washington is willing to discuss lifting sanctions. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi stated that Tehran is prepared to discuss restrictions on its nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief, but excludes linking the issue to other matters, such as its missile program. A second round of nuclear talks will take place on Tuesday in Geneva, following the resumption of discussions between Tehran and Washington in Oman earlier this month. Takht-Ravanchi described the initial talks as "positive," but stressed that it is too early to draw conclusions. The head of Iran's nuclear program stated that the country could agree to dilute its most enriched uranium in exchange for the complete lifting of economic sanctions. However, Tehran reiterated that it will not accept zero enrichment, an issue that remains a major obstacle in negotiations. Iran denies seeking to build nuclear weapons, while the US views enrichment within Iran as a pathway to acquiring nuclear weapons. Reaching an agreement depends on the ability of both sides to find common ground on these critical issues.
