President of Cyprus to Address Greek Parliament on May 14th, Focus on Energy Costs

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, will address the Greek Parliament on May 14th, following an invitation from the Speaker of the Parliament, Nikitas Kaklamanis. The meeting between the two men took place at the Presidential Palace, where issues such as energy costs and the situation in the Middle East were discussed. President Christodoulides referred to the successful negotiation in the European Union on Article 42.7, initiated by Cyprus and Greece, and the need to take measures to address the increased cost of energy. He also emphasized the need for de-escalation in the Middle East and the undertaking of a joint initiative by the European Union and the countries of the region.
