Fytiris wants the "heads" of the factions: "We know who they are, we are putting pressure and we are waiting for them"

Minister of Justice and Public Order, Kostas Fytiris, stated that the government aims to dismantle the leadership of organized crime groups, exerting continuous pressure and waiting for the right moment to arrest them. He emphasized the priority of strengthening the sense of security of citizens and the rule of law, as well as the need to combat organized crime. The Minister stated that a special task force has been established to monitor the financial assets of criminal organizations ("follow the money"), which will begin operations in March. In addition, he referred to the upcoming transfer of Simon Aikout to Israel, based on an international agreement, and the effort to collect evidence in the Annie Alexoui case.
