Mexico Deploys Troops After Drug Lord's Death

Mexico has deployed an additional 2,500 troops to the western state of Jalisco following the death of Nemesio Oseguera, known as El Mencho, the leader of the powerful CJNG drug cartel. This brings the total number of soldiers in the region to approximately 7,000, as a preventative measure against potential retaliation from the cartel.
