The Electoral Service is currently reviewing applications for the registration of four new parties, while the registration of the 26th party, the 'Agronomos Agricultural Workers' Party', with Andreas Christofis as its president, has already been approved. A total of 37 parties have been registered in the past, with some having been removed. Furthermore, the application of Pheidi Panayiotou's 'Direct Democracy' party is under consideration, with observations raised regarding the party's name and organizational matters. Additional information regarding the party's leadership has been requested. In the event that Pheidi Panayiotou is elected as a Member of the European Parliament, new elections will need to be held to fill the position, at a cost of 6 million euros, due to the independent nature of the candidate. Applications for the 'Sikou pano' and 'Laikos Agonas Eleftheria' parties are also being reviewed. Regarding the allocation of votes, a combination requires 3.6% for the second distribution, 10% for two parties, and 20% for more than two.
