NATO Secretary-General: Russia Suffering 'Exorbitant' Losses in Ukraine

NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte said today that Russia is suffering "exorbitant" losses in Ukraine, estimating that around 65,000 Russian soldiers have been killed in the last two months. Rutte stressed that NATO is strong enough to deter any Russian attack on a member country, and that it would win any war with Russia. Furthermore, Rutte stated that there is no desire in Europe to replace the US nuclear umbrella, despite Germany's discussions with France on nuclear deterrence. He emphasized that discussions to strengthen nuclear deterrence are positive, but will not replace the American nuclear umbrella.
