Iran has stated it is open to compromises regarding its nuclear program, on the condition that the US discusses lifting economic sanctions. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi emphasized that “the ball is in the American court” and that Iran is ready to find an agreement if the US demonstrates genuine intention. However, he reiterated that the country’s missile program is non-negotiable, as it is a necessary element for the country’s defense. Talks are expected to continue in Geneva on Tuesday.
