First Lady's Resignation from Social Support Agency Aimed at Protecting the Organization, Says Government Spokesman

The Government Spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, stated that the First Lady's resignation from the Independent Social Support Agency was made to protect the organization's work, following public suspicions arising from the release of a video. The resignation also applies to all other charitable organizations in which she participated. Mr. Letympiotis emphasized that the Agency operates with transparency and legality, and has significantly increased support for students in the last two years. He also recalled the Supreme Court's opinion on the publication of contribution details. He categorically rejected any thought of abolishing the Agency or transferring its funds to other organizations, describing the attacks as unfounded and politically motivated. A meeting of the Agency's Management Committee is expected to be held and an official statement issued by the former President.
