Greece Deploys Patriot Missile System to Karpathos

Greece is deploying a Patriot missile system to Karpathos as part of strengthening the country's air defense due to the turmoil in the Middle East. Simultaneously, the Belharra FDI frigate 'Kimon' has sailed for Cyprus, accompanied by the Psara frigate and four F-16s, which have already stationed in Paphos. Justice Minister George Floridis stated that Greece has activated its entire network of alliances and has strong defensive capabilities, allowing it to provide an 'umbrella' for Cyprus. The Patriot system is of American manufacture and entered the Hellenic Air Force in 2003, offering long range and the ability to engage multiple targets.
