Audio Document Reveals Close Call for Iran's New Supreme Leader

A leaked audio document reveals that Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran's new Supreme Leader, narrowly escaped a missile attack that killed his father, Ali Khamenei, and other members of the Islamic Republic's leadership. According to the recording, Mojtaba Khamenei went outside for a walk shortly before the attack, while his wife and son were killed instantly and his son-in-law was beheaded. Mazahir Hosseini, the head of protocol for Ali Khamenei's office, described the events to senior clerics and commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Hosseini stated that Mojtaba Khamenei sustained a minor leg injury, while the body of Mohammad Shirazi, head of Khamenei's military office, was almost completely destroyed by the explosion. The attack appears to have been targeted, with multiple locations within the complex being hit simultaneously, indicating an attempt to eliminate the entire Khamenei family. The recording reveals that the attack took place on February 28th, with Israeli Blue Sparrow ballistic missiles striking Ali Khamenei's residence. Along with Ali Khamenei, Mohammad Pakpour, head of the IRGC, and Aziz Nasirzadeh, Iran's Defense Minister, were also killed. Hosseini emphasized that Mojtaba Khamenei's survival was an act of God, as he went into the garden shortly before the attack. The leak of the recording provides a detailed account of the events and the losses caused by the attack.
