Έτσι, η αρμόδια υπηρεσία του αμερικανικού υπουργείου Δικαιοσύνης ανακοίνωσε προσφορά αμοιβής για πληροφορίες που θα οδηγήσουν τις ΗΠΑ στα εναπομείναντα διοικητικά στελέχη της πολιτικής ηγεσίας του Ιράν, με τον αγιατολάχ Μοτζταμπά Χαμενεΐ να βρίσκεται στην κορυφή της λίστας, ενώ εκεί βρίσκονται και οι επικεφαλής των Φρουρών της Επανάστασης.
