Zelensky: Feels Pressure from Trump, Asks for Ceasefire and Promises Elections

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the US is constantly pressuring Ukraine to make concessions in peace talks with Russia, while also calling on Europe to maintain its unity. He expressed hope that upcoming talks in Geneva will be substantive, but voiced concern over continued demands for concessions only from the Ukrainian side. Zelensky called for a two-month ceasefire to hold elections, while describing Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “slave of war.” He also emphasized the need for faster political decisions to counter Russian attacks, as weapons are evolving faster than the decisions that should stop them.
