Student Music Competition Cancelled Due to Ethical Concerns

The Ministry of Education has cancelled a student Byzantine music competition due to breaches of ethics. The competition had a small number of participants, but the main issue was the presence of a teacher on the judging panel who was also a teacher of one of the winning students. The student's victory sparked reactions from parents of other participants, who filed a complaint with the Secondary Education Directorate. The Directorate proceeded to cancel the competition, judging that the necessary conditions of impartiality were not ensured. The competition will be rescheduled at a later date.
