Erdoğan: "We Warned Iran - Strengthening Defense in Cyprus"

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, after the cabinet meeting, spoke about the crisis in Iran, its impact on the region, the strengthening of the military presence in the occupied territories, and the measures Turkey is taking for its protection. He stressed that Turkey warned Iran about the launch of a missile towards Turkish airspace, but provocative actions continue. Erdoğan emphasized the importance of maintaining good relations with Iran, but also the need to protect Turkey from potential threats. He expressed the view that Turkey could have successfully mediated in the crisis if talks had taken place in Istanbul. Regarding Cyprus, Erdoğan announced the deployment of six F-16 fighter jets and air defense systems to the occupied territories, with the aim of strengthening defense. He stressed that Turkey is on full alert and is closely monitoring developments in the region. Erdoğan assured that Turkey is ready to face any threat and will take all necessary measures to protect its citizens and territories. He reiterated that Turkey will not tolerate any attack against it.
