Αεροπορικό πλήγμα στο δυτικό Ιράκ αποδιδόμενο στις ΗΠΑ σκότωσε επτά μαχητές των Χασντ ας Σάαμπι («μονάδων λαϊκής κινητοποίησης»), συμμαχίας πρώην παραστρατιωτικών οργανώσεων, δήλωσε πηγή του Γαλλικού Πρακτορείου στις τάξεις της.
Το πλήγμα στοχοποίησε βάση τους στην επαρχία Άνμπαρ και τραυμάτισε άλλα 13 μέλη της συμμαχίας, κατά την πηγή αυτή.
Η συμμαχία είναι πλέον τυπικά ενταγμένη στον ιρακινό τακτικό στρατό, ωστόσο ορισμένες παρατάξεις της προσκείμενες στην Τεχεράνη θεωρείται πως δρουν αυτόνομα.

Seven Former Paramilitaries Killed in Iraq Airstrike
An airstrike in western Iraq, attributed to the United States, has resulted in the deaths of seven fighters from the Hashd al-Shaabi (Popular Mobilization Units), an alliance of former paramilitary groups. The strike targeted their base in Anbar province, also injuring another 13 members of the alliance.
