Customs officials apprehended a foreign national with Cypriot citizenship at the Deryneia crossing point while attempting to illegally transport animal products from the occupied territories. During the vehicle inspection, three liters of ayran, 700 grams of cheese, 1 kilogram and 300 grams of salami, and seven packages of fresh chicken totaling 4 kilograms and 744 grams were found. The products were confiscated as their transport violates the regulations governing the movement of goods through the Green Line, which aim to protect public health.
