Christodoulides-Mitsotakis Visit 'Kimon' Frigate

President of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulides and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited the 'Kimon' frigate of the Hellenic Navy, completing the visit of Macron and Mitsotakis to Cyprus. The visit followed a trilateral meeting of the leaders at the 'Andreas Papandreou' airbase in Paphos, where issues of security, stability, and geopolitical balance in the Eastern Mediterranean were discussed. The three leaders – Cyprus, Greece, and France – reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation in the areas of defense and security, emphasizing that their countries are not involved in military conflicts but are working to ensure stability and peace in the region. The cooperation is based on respect for international law. French President Emmanuel Macron visited the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, while Christodoulides and Mitsotakis visited the 'Kimon' frigate. Macron's visit had been prepared with the arrival of a French Republic aircraft at the airbase, which served as a support mission. The trilateral meeting lasted approximately forty minutes and focused on regional developments. The leaders exchanged views and reaffirmed their willingness to further strengthen their strategic presence in the region. The visit marks the strong cooperation between the three countries and their common approach to critical issues of security and stability in the Eastern Mediterranean.
