Today's Feast Day: Celebrating Saint Dionysius the Olympian

Today, Friday, January 23rd, commemorates the memory of Saints Clement and Agathangelus, as well as Saint Dionysius the Olympian. Saint Dionysius was born in Karditsa around 1500 AD and dedicated his life to the love of Christ and asceticism. He lived as a monk in Meteora and later on Mount Athos, where he became a priest and monk. Eventually, he settled on Mount Olympus, where he practiced asceticism in a cave and founded the Monastery of the Holy Trinity in Sourvia, Pelion. He is considered a saint with miraculous abilities, and his relics are highly valued.
