Cat Disappearances: Ecologists to Protest - Accusations Against Arnautis

The Ecologists' Movement expresses its concern over the disappearances of cats observed throughout Cyprus and calls on the authorities to investigate the case and assign responsibility. The Ecologists accuse the Chief of Police, Themistos Arnautis, of ignoring their letters regarding animal protection. The Ecologists' Movement will hold a protest outside the Police Headquarters in Nicosia today at 2:30 PM. In their announcement, the Ecologists state that there are ongoing disappearances of cats on a pan-Cypriot basis and that the Chief of Police is not responding to their concerns. In addition, the Ecologists state that they expect an investigation into the case of turtle abuse on Chlorakas beach. They emphasize that they will not let these cases be forgotten and will demand answers.
