Objections to Translations and Allegations of 'Political Prosecution' in Cypriot Property Trial

The trial of a 49-year-old German real estate agent, accused of usurping Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied territories, continued with objections from the defense regarding the validity of the translations of the evidence. The defense lawyer questioned the reliability of the translations, arguing that automatic translation tools were used, which produce variable results. Furthermore, the defendant's lawyer accused the police officer who testified of 'falsifying evidence' and 'selective investigation,' alleging 'political prosecution' with the aim of involving her client in a political issue. The court had previously granted a recess to review digital material, as the defendant was facing difficulties accessing the internet in prison. The defense intends to request an adjournment of the trial for at least three months, a request that will be discussed at the next hearing.
