Cyprus Activates 'ESTIA' Plan for Middle East Escalation

The Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs has activated the Special National Plan ESTIA in response to the escalating tensions in the Middle East. The decision concerns the potential reception and repatriation of citizens of third countries from crisis regions, through the Republic of Cyprus. The Ministerial Crisis Management Team, comprising the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Defense, Interior, and Justice, made this decision. Cypriot diplomatic missions are closely monitoring the situation and informing Cypriot citizens in the region. ESTIA is the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' National Action Plan for emergencies, aiming to facilitate the safe evacuation of citizens from crisis areas, primarily from the Middle East.
