A Greek Cypriot man has been arrested in the occupied territories for allegedly violating a prohibited military zone in the Gerolakkos area. According to the Turkish Cypriot newspaper Kıbrıs, the man, with the initials A.P., was in the area collecting wild asparagus when he approached the military zone. During a vehicle check, 16 shotgun cartridges were found. He was initially brought before a "military court" and then to the "Nicosia District Court", where he was charged with illegal possession and transport of explosives. Police requested a cash guarantee, while the prosecutor requested his detention until trial, citing illegal entry into a military zone. The "judge" ultimately ordered his detention for up to four days.
