Ryanair Flight Diverted to Larnaca Due to Stormy Weather

A Ryanair flight from London to Paphos (FR3133) was forced to land at Larnaca airport due to strong winds in Paphos. Many of the passengers were Paphos football fans returning from their team's match against Chelsea in the Champions League, and experienced turbulence during the flight. The flight, which departed from Stansted, was unable to land in Paphos due to the adverse weather conditions. Hermes Airports, the airport management company, confirmed the flight diversion for safety reasons. The flight landed safely in Larnaca at 14:10. Ryanair arranged for the passengers to be transported to Paphos by bus. The decision to divert the flight was a result of the severe weather conditions prevailing in Paphos, with strong winds, rain, and thunderstorms.
