Άγνωστοι έκλεψαν τις προτομές ηρώων στην περιοχή της Γερμασόγειας, στην Λεμεσό. Το συμβάν έκανε γνωστό ο Αντιδήμαρχος της περιοχή, Χριστός Παπαμιχαήλ, με ανάρτηση στον προσωπικό του λογαριασμό στο facebook. «Είναι μια ντροπιαστική και απολύτως καταδικαστέα ενέργεια, που προσβάλλει την ιστορία και τη μνήμη του τόπου μας», αναφέρει χαρακτηριστικά
Όπως επισημαίνει ο Αντιδήμαρχος, «όσοι νομίζουν ότι με τέτοιες πράξεις μπορούν να σβήσουν την προσφορά και τον ηρωισμό αυτών των ανθρώπων, κάνουν μεγάλο λάθος».
«Ο ηρωισμός τους δεν κλέβεται, δεν καταστρέφεται και δεν ξεχνιέται», τονίζει.
