Trade Unions Express Discontent Over Vehicle Law Referral

Trade unions PASYDY, SEK, and EKYSY have expressed strong discontent over the President's intention to refer a vehicle insurance law back to Parliament, which had been almost unanimously passed after three years of effort. The referral, according to the unions, is happening under pressure from insurance companies and aims to abolish the provision for written justification of refusal to insure first-time drivers. The unions urge MPs not to succumb to these pressures and to protect the interests of the people. They point out that if insurance companies have the right to refuse insurance, it will create a problem for those without access to suitable transport, forcing them to drive illegally without insurance.
