Double International Recognition for Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center

The Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center has received double international recognition, renewing its accreditation from CHKS, an internationally recognized quality accreditation organization in the healthcare sector, and obtaining ISO 9001:2015 certification. The CHKS accreditation has been maintained uninterruptedly since 2007, when the Center became the first hospital in Cyprus and Greece to receive this recognition. The maintenance of accreditation and ISO 9001 certification is achieved through triennial reassessments and annual inspections, demonstrating the Center's consistent commitment to quality and safety. This double recognition confirms the high quality of care provided and the effectiveness of the Center's governance and quality assurance systems. The accreditation was awarded following an independent inspection by healthcare professionals accredited by an independent body, which confirmed the Center's compliance with CHKS's specialized quality and safety standards, which are accredited by ISQA. The inspection confirmed compliance with the organization's quality and safety standards. The General Manager of the Oncology Center, Panos Ergatoudis, stated that the re-accreditation reflects the commitment of the staff to quality, safety and patient-centered care, while also strengthening the trust of patients and their families. The renewal of CHKS accreditation, combined with ISO 9001:2015 certification, further strengthens the Center's role as a reference point for oncology care in Cyprus.
