Munich Conference: US-Denmark-Greenland Talks - Copenhagen to Send F-35s

The Prime Minister of Denmark, Mette Frederiksen, will meet with US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, at the Munich Security Conference to discuss Greenland. The Prime Minister of Greenland, Jens-Frederik Nielsen, will also participate in the meeting. Simultaneously, Denmark will contribute four F-35 fighter jets to NATO's Arctic Sentry mission, strengthening the Alliance's presence in the Arctic. This move comes amid heightened tensions sparked by previous US proposals to purchase Greenland. Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen also expects US contributions to the mission. Denmark seeks to play an active role in the Arctic and the North Atlantic.
