French Municipal Elections: Second Round to Decide Major Cities

The second round of municipal elections will be held in France next Sunday to determine the outcome in major cities. The first round had a turnout of 50%, and in the second round, combinations that received more than 10% of the votes will compete. In Paris, the left-wing Emmanuel Grégoire leads with 36.4%, followed by the center-right Rachida Dati with 25%. In Marseille, the far-right Frank Alizio and the left-wing Benoît Payan received 35.5% each. In Lyon, Grégory Doucet and Jean-Michel Olà each garnered around 37%. In Strasbourg, the socialist Catherine Trotman leads with 25%, while in Bordeaux, the ecologist Pierre Hurmic leads with 27.7%.
