Tychikos Does Not Reside in the Metropolis, Salary Reduced by 55%, Says His Lawyer

The lawyer of the former Metropolitan of Paphos, Tychikos, Irenaios Antonios Yakoumakis, stated in a press release that the Metropolitan no longer resides in the Metropolis, but in a small room in the garden, and that his salary has been reduced by 55% without a decision from the Holy Synod. The lawyer accuses distortion of reality and the creation of false impressions, while pointing out Tychikos's fragile health and the lack of interest from the Archbishop. Furthermore, he claims that the Archbishop's communication with the Bishops is done through press releases, which does not align with ecclesiastical order. According to the lawyer, Tychikos seeks the restoration of truth and the preservation of the unity of the Church. The Archbishopric, through its press spokesman Christakis Eustathiou, reports that Tychikos has not handed over the keys to the Metropolis and enters the building through the back door, while the Archbishop shows leniency.
