Dilian Implicates Greek Government in Surveillance Scandal

The owner of Intellexa, Tal Dillian, stated that his company provides surveillance technology only to governments and law enforcement agencies, challenging the Greek government's narrative of a private initiative in the surveillance scandal. This statement contradicts previous government assurances that the Predator software was used by private individuals and not state entities. The testimony of Yannis Lavranos's secretary, Lina Katsouda, in the surveillance trial, had proven the export of Predator to third countries with the approval of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Following the revelation of the case, Yannis Smyrlis was transferred from the Ministry but was never called to testify in court. Dillian's statement has caused turmoil and raises questions about the transparency and involvement of the government in the scandal.
