Golden Dawn Trial: Prosecutor Recommends Rejection of All Mitigating Circumstances

In the Golden Dawn trial, the prosecutor recommended the rejection of all mitigating circumstances for the 27 convicted individuals. The prosecutor rejected one by one the requests for mitigating circumstances, citing decisions of the Supreme Court and emphasizing the lack of moral conversion and respect for social rules by the defendants. Yannis Lagos, during the proceedings, launched an attack on the judges. The prosecutor stressed that membership in a criminal organization with racist motives is incompatible with the recognition of mitigating circumstances, while also rejecting the mitigating circumstance of youth for one of the two who requested it, as he was already 38 years old when he joined the organization. The process continues with second statements from the defense lawyers.
