Cyprus Villa Seized from Former Russian Bank Head

The Moscow Arbitration Court, as part of the bankruptcy proceedings of former Otkritie bank chairman Ruben Agambegyan, has seized assets linked to him, including a villa in Cyprus, land, and an apartment in New York, as well as shares in a Cypriot company. The bankruptcy administrator accuses Agambegyan of avoiding the transfer of his assets, demonstrating bad faith. A property settlement agreement between Agambegyan and his wife was deemed invalid by the court. The Cypriot company holding shares also controls a mechanical plant currently undergoing bankruptcy proceedings. The court prohibited the transfer of ownership rights to these assets, fully granting the administrator's request.
