Souvlaki Shop Owner Arrested for Drug Trafficking in Piraeus

A 55-year-old owner of a well-known souvlaki shop in Drapetsona, Piraeus, was arrested for heroin trafficking after selling 2.1 grams for 50 euros. The investigation revealed that he was supplied by a 76-year-old Palestinian man who had prepared a price list for drugs (cocaine 80€/gram, heroin 20€/gram). Searches resulted in the seizure of 280 grams of heroin, 18 grams of cocaine, 51.5 grams of raw cannabis, 36 pharmaceutical tablets, 212 dubious identity/travel documents (130 passports, 60 ID cards, 16 residence permits, and three driving licenses), and 12,480 euros. The arrested man had a previous record for drug possession and robbery, while the Palestinian man also has a history of similar offenses. Both face charges related to drug laws, immigration violations, receiving and disposing of criminal property, and forgery.
