ISOTITA Raises Concerns about 'Internal Corruption' in the Game and Fauna Service

The Branch Council of Hourly Wardens of "ISOTITA" expresses serious concerns regarding "internal corruption" within the Game and Fauna Service, following the arson of two vehicles in Evrychou and one warden's vehicle in Paphos. The Council claims that the arsons were carried out by poachers who are informed by corrupt individuals within the Service. It appeals to all citizens who have information regarding the criminal acts to submit it immediately to the authorities, even anonymously. It characterizes these actions as an attack on the protection of Cypriot nature and calls on all those responsible, especially the Administration of the Service, to cooperate with the wardens to address the attacks. The Council emphasizes that the Police have a role in solving the crimes, but points out that the Head of the Game and Fauna Service is responsible for addressing internal corruption. It concludes by urging the Head to take concrete action against organized crime and set an example. Finally, the Branch assures the wardens that "ISOTITA" will be their shield and will claim the safety and dignity they deserve.
