Συστήματα αντιαεροπορικής άμυνας Stormer του Βρετανικού Στρατού, εξοπλισμένα με προηγμένους πυραύλους τελευταίας τεχνολογίας, έχουν φτάσει στην Κύπρο, που ενισχύουν περαιτέρω την αεράμυνα στην περιοχή, ανακοίνωσε το βρετανικό ΥΠΑΜ.
Σημειώνεται ότι σύμφωνα με τα όσα αναφέρει το βρετανικό ΥΠΑΜ, «κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας, βρετανικά στρατεύματα που επιχειρούσαν σε περιοχή υψηλής απειλής κατέρριψαν 14 καμικάζι drones – τον μεγαλύτερο αριθμό drones που έχουν καταρρίψει σε μία μόνο νύχτα».
Επιπλέον στην ίδια ανακοίνωση αναφέρει ότι, «μαχητικά αεροσκάφη Typhoon και F-35 της Βασιλικής Αεροπορίας συνέχισαν τις αμυντικές τους αποστολές κατά τη διάρκεια της νύχτας, συμπεριλαμβανομένων αποστολών πάνω από την Κύπρο, την Ιορδανία και το Κατάρ.
»Τα μέτρα προστασίας δυνάμεων στην περιοχή παραμένουν στο υψηλότερο επίπεδο, διασφαλίζοντας ότι το προσωπικό του Ηνωμένου Βασιλείου είναι όσο το δυνατόν πιο ασφαλές. Επίσης, συνεργαζόμαστε στενά και σε συντονισμό με τους συμμάχους μας.»

UK Ministry of Defence: Stormer Air Defence Vehicles Arrive in Cyprus
