Four New Faces on the Greens' Ballot for 2026 Elections

The Citizens' Movement – Cooperation of Ecologists has announced four new candidates for the parliamentary elections of May 2026. The candidates are Michalis Menelaou and Maria Triantafyllidou in the province of Nicosia, Grigoris Evangelou in the province of Kyrenia, and Isabella Ttakka in the province of Famagusta. Michalis Menelaou is a journalist and has previously worked as a Press Officer for the Green Movement. Maria Triantafyllidou is the General Director of a group of companies and is involved in charitable activities. Grigoris Evangelou has worked at the Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) and has participated in humanitarian missions in Gaza and Iraq. Isabella Ttakka is a new candidate and will be presented in detail in a subsequent announcement. The final list of candidates will be submitted for approval to the Pan-Cypriot Conference, after the completion of the procedures of the Provincial Assemblies. The new candidates add freshness and different perspectives to the Green Movement's ballot. The announcement of the candidacies marks the start of the pre-election period for the Green Movement, which aims to strengthen its representation in Parliament and promote its environmental and social positions.
