“Violanta” Factory Owner Arrested After Manslaughter Charges Upgraded

Following an upgrade of the indictment regarding the deaths of five workers in the fatal fire caused by a propane leak, the owner of the “Violanta” factory has been arrested. The arrest was carried out by a team from the Arson Crime Prevention Directorate (DAEE) at the factory's offices in Trikala. The technical safety officer and the shift supervisor were also arrested along with the owner.
