Vandalism at DIPA Offices in Limassol

The offices of DIPA in Limassol were attacked on Saturday, with vandals breaking the glass entrance of the building. The attack is attributed to reactions to a recent video that has caused political controversy and concerns allegations of corruption within the Presidential Palace. An anarchist group calling itself “Anarchist Anti-Corruption” claimed responsibility, denouncing an extensive network of interconnected interests and calling for an election boycott and strengthening of self-organization. DIPA strongly condemned the attack, characterizing the use of violence as unacceptable and dangerous, and emphasized the need for calm and respect for democratic institutions. It stresses that political debate should be conducted through arguments and dialogue.
