Cyprus GDP Increased by 3.8% in 2025

Cyprus' Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased by 3.8% in real terms in 2025, according to the first estimate by the Statistical Service of Cyprus. In current prices, the increase was 4.5%. GDP in real terms amounted to €30.52 billion, while in current prices it amounted to €36.32 billion. This growth is mainly due to the sectors of Information and Communication, Hotels and Restaurants, Construction, as well as Wholesale and Retail Trade and Repair of Motor Vehicles. Public consumption increased by 6.7% to €6.82 billion, while private consumption increased by 3.7% to €20.65 billion. Gross capital formation increased by 2.3% to €7.35 billion, while exports of goods and services increased by 5.3% to €35.52 billion. Correspondingly, imports increased by 4.9% to €34.04 billion. In the fourth quarter of 2025, GDP increased by 4.5% in real and seasonally adjusted terms, compared to the corresponding quarter of 2024, reaching €7.76 billion. This positive performance is mainly attributed to the sectors of Wholesale and Retail Trade, Information and Communication, as well as Hotels and Restaurants, confirming the economy's momentum towards the end of the year. The increase in GDP indicates healthy economic growth and creates positive prospects for the future.
