Foot and Mouth Disease: Investigations Continue for Potential Criminal Liabilities

The Cyprus Police continue their investigations to determine if any criminal liabilities exist regarding the outbreak of foot and mouth disease in Cyprus. Police Spokesman Viron Vironos stated that depositions are being taken and all aspects of the case are being investigated. According to Mr. Vironos, the Police currently have no announcements regarding the findings of the investigations. The process of taking depositions is ongoing, and after its completion, it will be examined whether any criminal liabilities arise. The investigation covers all aspects of the foot and mouth disease crisis, with the aim of determining whether there were omissions or negligence that led to the spread of the disease.
