New Era for Greek Armed Forces Showcased in Military Parade

This year's military parade for March 25th in Syntagma Square showcased a new era for the Armed Forces, with an emphasis on technology and innovation. New weapon systems were presented, such as the KENTAUROS anti-drone system, a product of collaboration between the Hellenic Center for Defense Innovation (ELKAK) and the Hellenic Aerospace Industry (HAI). The new uniform of the "Modern Warrior" was also presented, with improved protection and flexibility specifications. The new strategy of the Armed Forces is based on the development of a domestic defense innovation ecosystem and cutting-edge technologies, as well as the integration of modern weapon systems. The presence of these systems in the parade signals a transition to a new operational model, based on technological superiority and strengthening national deterrent power. M1117 reconnaissance armored vehicles with Greek-made electronic sensors and a vehicle with two torpedoes were also presented.
