Farmers who participated in the rally in Syntagma Square are expected to withdraw their tractors and agricultural machinery this afternoon. The rally was organized by the Panhellenic Committee of the Blocks, with protesters demonstrating against high production costs, low guaranteed prices, the ELGA regulation, and delays in compensation payments. According to police, over 1,000 protesters gathered in front of the Parliament, while approximately 200 farmers, livestock breeders, and beekeepers participated in the rally, coming from Chania and other regions. Representatives of ADEDY, student unions, and agricultural cooperatives also participated in the rally. Farmers accuse the government of lacking political will, despite previous meetings with the Prime Minister. They emphasize that there are fiscal resources, but they are not being used to support the agricultural sector. The mobilizations will continue, according to farmers, until their demands are met. Representatives of various political parties, such as SYRIZA, KKE, New Left, and Plefsi Eleftherias, attended the rally, expressing their solidarity with the farmers.
