President Announces Economic Measures - "Responsible Fiscal Policy"

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, announced that he will present targeted measures for the economy tomorrow, Thursday, which will affect many sectors impacted by the war in the Middle East. These measures will be possible due to the responsible fiscal policy followed by the government, which already has measures in place worth over €100 million. The President emphasized that the government has also developed additional scenarios for measures, which will be activated depending on the evolution of the situation. He noted that responsible fiscal policy allows Cyprus to address the difficulties arising from the crisis in the region and respond to the demands of the Cypriot people. The measures will cover all sectors affected by the economic crisis, including tourism. The government is ready to take further measures if the situation worsens and has developed corresponding scenarios. The government's approach is responsible and avoids populism and wishful thinking. President Christodoulides reiterated the government's commitment to support the Cypriot people and respond to their needs while maintaining fiscal stability.
