Time Change Tomorrow Sunday - Clocks Go Forward One Hour

Tomorrow Sunday, at 3 a.m., clocks will be moved forward one hour, marking the start of daylight saving time. The period of daylight saving time will last until October 25, 2026. The institution of daylight saving time applies to all countries of the European Union and was first introduced in Cyprus in 1976, with the aim of saving energy. The first EU legislative act regarding daylight saving time dates back to 1980, while the current directive has been in effect since 2001. The directive provides for the time change on the last Sunday of March and the return to normal time on the last Sunday of October. In 2018, the European Commission proposed abolishing the twice-yearly time change, however, the proposal has not yet been implemented. Until a final decision is taken, the current time change system remains in effect, which extends the duration of daylight in the summer. In summary, the time change will take place tomorrow Sunday, with the aim of saving energy and making better use of sunlight. Despite proposals to abolish the time change, the current system remains in effect.
