Angeliki Charalambopoulou: An Artist's Journey

Visual artist Angeliki Charalambopoulou presents her work and discusses her artistic journey. Born in Greece, Angeliki developed her relationship with art through philosophy and writing before turning to painting and other visual media. She has studied International Relations and Business Administration, studies that influenced her perception of social structures and the role of the individual within them. Angeliki's work is highly conceptual, with the concept preceding and guiding the choice of medium. She focuses on the tension between individual and roles, the erosion of identity, and the human experience within social structures. Her works often converse with each other, creating fields of thought rather than simple narratives. She is currently studying for a Diploma in Visual Arts at Aigaia School of Arts and Design and will present her painting series Maurice at Nestopia Creative Hub in February 2026. Angeliki seeks to continuously explore new visual media and integrate them into her work, seeing art as a living process of thought and observation. Her philosophy is influenced by existentialism and the acceptance of the absurd, seeking to maintain the tension of the question both in her work and in her own existence.
