Slowdown in Property Price Increases in Cyprus

Property price increases in Cyprus are slowing down, according to data from the Statistical Service and Eurostat. The house price index for the third quarter of 2023 increased by just 0.1% year-on-year, significantly lower compared to the 2.7% increase in the second quarter and 4.5% in the first quarter. At the EU level, housing prices are stabilizing, with a 5.1% increase in both the Eurozone and the EU in the third quarter of 2023. Hungary, Portugal, and Bulgaria recorded the largest increases, while Finland was the only country to experience a decrease.
