Λόγω πιθανών ενδείξεων τρομοκρατικού εγκλήματος, η Ομοσπονδιακή Εισαγγελία διεξάγει επί του παρόντος έρευνα για την έκρηξη σε συναγωγή στη Λιέγη, σύμφωνα με ανακοίνωση της Δευτέρας προς τον Τύπο.
Η έκρηξη, η οποία σημειώθηκε τα ξημερώματα της Κυριακής μπροστά από συναγωγή στη Λιέγη νωρίς το πρωί (περίπου 05:00 ώρα Κύπρου), έλαβε χώρα μπροστά από τη συναγωγή που βρίσκεται στην οδό Λεόν Φρεντερίκ στη Λιέγη. Δεν αναφέρθηκαν τραυματίες, μόνο υλικές ζημιές.
Σε αυτό το πλαίσιο, σύμφωνα με την ανακοίνωση η Ομοσπονδιακή Εισαγγελία συνεργάζεται στενά με όλους τους αρμόδιους εταίρους. Η Υπηρεσία Εξουδετέρωσης και Καταστροφής Εκρηκτικών Μηχανισμών (DOVO) ήταν επίσης παρούσα στο σημείο για να διεξάγει έρευνα για τα απαραίτητα ευρήματα.
