The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, held an emergency meeting with stakeholders in the tourism sector, aiming to coordinate actions to address misleading messages circulating abroad regarding tourism in Cyprus. The President emphasized the importance of the tourism sector for the country's economy and the need for cooperation between the Government and the private sector. The meeting took place after a record year for tourism in Cyprus, both in terms of arrivals and revenue. The current situation and the actions to be taken immediately, in the medium and long term to promote tourism and address any negative impacts were discussed.
